What is an LLM (large language model)?
An LLM, or large language model, is the AI model that reads and writes language. In an agent it is the reasoning component: it interprets the request, decides the next step and drafts the output. It is one part of the system, alongside the tools, data, memory and approval rules around it.
Example
The same agent can switch between models from different providers depending on cost, speed and where data must be processed.
In one line
